To operate the Cartisement service and to provide our Services, including, but not limited to, matching drivers with advertisers, we must ask you to provide public or nonpublic personal information about yourself and your car. We may collect this information through various forms and in various places through the Services, including account registration forms, “contact us forms”, or when you otherwise interact with us
When you sign up to use the Services, you create a user profile. The current required data fields are:
As a process, when a driver is registered on Cartisement’s platform, we will collect location data through our Android and IOS phone applications with proper permissions in place to track users phone location in the background or foreground for 7 days called the Qualifying period. The only purpose of this qualifying period data is to assess the drivers normal driving patterns and mileage to match the driver with the right brand based on the driving history.
Once the Qualifying period is over, the driver status changes to “Qualified” which means the no more data will be collected during the Qualified Period. Qualified status can last for days, weeks, months, or years based on when a new campaign is available in the area.
When there is a campaign available, it is displayed to the driver in the Campaigns section of the menu, where drivers can apply. Upon approval of the campaign application, we start tracking location in the Foreground with a visible notification that will alert the driver when location is being tracked.
The application will continue to track the device’s location the foreground with a notification for the duration of the campaign, otherwise the app stays in the background to assess if there is any GPS movement that brings it back in the foreground and start tracking. Please note that in our application will not save any drivers data while it is in the background.
With respect to geo-location data we track through your Mobile Device, we use that geo-location information for various purposes – including for you to be able to view the income earned by you in connection with providing the Services, to send you promotions and offers.
The only information we collect from the driver’s phone through our driver application is the longitude, latitude, and the speed of the GPS. The purpose of this data is to calculate the distance covered from one point to another that adds up to total mileage that is displayed in the driver’s application. And to calculate the earnings based on the number of mileages tracked through the application.
When the driver/phone is not actively driving/moving the application will stay in the background only to identify the status though a physical activity permission. The will only track when the physical activity recognizes “DRIVING” activity.
Once the app successful detects “DRIVING”, it sends a notification to the driver “We are saving your Route” which means now the application is in the foreground of the phone and will send GPS data to the servers.
For all drivers using our Services, the driver’s mobile phone will send your GPS coordinates, during the commute, to our servers. Most GPS enabled mobile devices can define one’s location to within 50 feet. We collect this information for various purposes – including to determine the amount of money you earn while performing the Services, to provide you with support, to send you promotions and offers, to enhance our Services, and for our internal business purposes.
In addition, our advertisers can see the GPS coordinates recorded by the driver’s mobile phone for all driving time, as well as certain information about you, such as your First Name and Vehicle information. Drivers are not identified by their full names or tied to their physical address when reporting to the advertisers.
You will also receive additional notifications from us that may be waived if you choose (via opt-out). Based upon the Personal Information you provide us when registering for an account, we will send you a welcoming email to verify your Account. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email, telephone, or SMS or text message, in accordance with your wishes. We have a chat module and bugs reporting module where drivers can communicate bugs and questions with the team.
